Targhee is a sheep breed that started in the 1920's in the western states of the U.S. The intent was to create a dual-purpose breed that would provide fine wool with higher lambing rates. It is a blend of Rambouillet, Lincoln, and Corriedale.

From Jenny Brown, the dyer:
"I'm a dyer, knitter, spinner, and lover of all things fiber... and kitties.
Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas (area code 316), I fell in love with fiber when a friend introduced me to cross-stitch. I taught myself to knit in college and took my first spinning class after grad school. However, it wasn’t until I began dyeing fiber that I realized my passion for making.
Whether it's dyeing, spinning, or knitting, I'm happiest when I'm creating something. I dye all of my fiber in small batches, which means each skein and braid is as unique as you are. My hope is my products inspire you to create something that gives you as much joy as it gave me to make it."
