The Wandering Flock has created a beautiful warm weather yarn to add to their collection. It is plant forward (for breathable garments) with a touch of animal fiber (for a luxurious hand feel).
Cotton and linen are the heroes of this 4-ply blend, and will give your garments structure and lightness. The alpaca lends a softness that's delightful to wear and amazing on your hands. The silk is there for extra luxurious drape and strength. Because of the combination of animal and plant fibers in this yarn, they have found it suitable for fingering weight through DK weight projects! Just make sure to swatch first.

The Wandering Flock is the creation of knitwear designer and hand dyer Geraldine Yang of Brooklyn New York. She and her crew dye colors that are sweet and exquisite; perfection in skein form. Known for her pastels, she also dyes luscious saturated tonal colorways. Whichever colors you pick, you will love the richness and attention to detail in every skein.
Two patterns are featured:
The Rayas Cardigan (ravelry link) by The Wandering Flock. The Rayas Cardigan is a boxy, oversized drop-shoulder cardigan with bold stripes and modern construction. The back and front panels are knit flat in pieces from the top down and seamed while the sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. The four different colorwork charts provided allow for creative customization across the back, front, sleeves, and collar. Mix and match charts and color combinations for the ultimate “choose your own adventure” striped cardigan!
