Two Color Brioche Knitting Class

Brioche Knitting creates a very squishy fabric that looks similar to ribbing. Two color brioche makes the depth of the stitches pop. This is one of those techniques that looks harder than it is.

In this class you'll learn to to knit two-color brioche in the round while making a cowl.  If you do your homework before class, you'll leave class with your project well under way.

When you sign up you will receive the pattern for the Addison Street Cowl. and a discount code for 10% off any supplies you buy online for shipping or pick up. If you wish to use the yarn recommended in the pattern, you can purchase a kit here. You can also use the discount in the shop. 

We strongly recommend that you cast on and knit the bottom edging of the cowl so you are ready to start the brioche portion at the beginning of class. 

This is a one day class. 

Skill Level Required: This is an adventurous beginner one day class. Skills required are being able to knit, purl, and work in the round.

Teacher Bio: Hello fellow yarn lovers! My name is Melinda and first and foremost, I am a mother of two beautiful children. I also happen to be a spinner, weaver, and knitter. I was eight months pregnant when I started with my first love, spinning and would rock my daughter to sleep through the rhythm of my spinning motion. She is now a lovely 16 year old who also has inherited a love for fiber. My son can't remember a day in his life when he didn't receive a pair of hand knit socks and enjoys wearing handmade items. I have a cat named Pepsi and a dog named Artemis. I'm a therapist by day and enjoy helping people make positive change in their life. I love passing on my knowledge to others. Cancellation Policy If for whatever reason you want to withdraw from a class, please do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time of the class for a full refund. No-shows and cancellations less than 48 hours in advance of the class start time are not eligible for a refund. Please respect the teacher and your fellow students by not attending class if you are feeling sick or have had a known recent Covid exposure, even if it is within the 48-hour non-refundable window.
