Want to luster and drape of silk in a plant-based yarn? Meet Tencel! It is cool, has moisture wicking properties, is soft, durable, and more affordable than silk. It also takes color very well.
Tencel (TM), sometimes called lyocell, is a cellulose fiber created from wood pulp using recyclable solvents. It is more environmentally friendly than conventional cotton due to greatly reduced water and energy needs for production.
Sadly, this is the last yarn from Golden Sheep Fibers. Michelle has closed her shop and we have all she had left. We are heartbroken! Her colors are so rich and delicious. Get them while you can. They won't be coming back!
