Japanese Sashiko Needles
8 in stock
Sashiko is a traditional Japanese embroidery method that uses long running stitches to create intricate designs using dashed lines. Whether you're using it to create embroidered art or for mending your favorite garments (sometimes called Boro if the frayed edges are left exposed), then you'll want a strong, sharp, exceedingly long needle.
Tulip's Hiroshima sashiko needles are made in Japan from the finest steel - once you use them you'll never want to sew with any other brand. This set of long needles comes with 2 pieces of 3 varieties, all packaged into a convenient acrylic tube with a natural cork for storage, to keep them sharp and corrosion-free.
Consider pairing them with our beautiful Japanese sashiko threads, thimbles, pre-printed sampler kits, and/or a beginner-friendly how-to book on traditional sashiko or boro mending.
