We really love this naturally colored Rambouillet wool roving. Rambouillet is a French Merino-type breed of sheep. It is soft like Merino, but with a longer staple (length of the individual fibers). It is easy and lovely to spin.
We are offering it in 2oz and 4oz bundles in the white. If you would like a larger quantity, please contact us.
The wool is sourced from The Bare Ranch in California and Espil Sheep Company in Nevada. It is a combed top preparation which straightens the fibers and removes the shorter fibers to minimize piling. It is lovely to spin. The fiber is processed at Mountain Meadows Wool in Buffalo, Wyoming.
