Maya is one of the many talented and interesting people who work for us. Her work is beautifully executed with attention to detail. Each one is made by hand and unique. If you, or someone you love, likes journals, notebooks, or sketchbooks, you'll love these.

Dormouse Press is the artistic practice of multimedia artist Maya Stevens. Her work spans many disciplines including bookbinding and the broader book arts, printmaking, & fiber arts. She is interested in texture, intentional form, and historical methods. Maya graduated from Mills College in 2019, where she had the good fortune to study under the world renowned book artist Julie Chen (Flying Fish Press). During this time, Maya fell in love with the construction of books. Since graduating, Maya has continued to hone her craft, taking workshops at the San Francisco Center for the Book, and hoarding books about bookbinding like a dragon. She works from her home studio, aided by her trusty studio assistant, Moomy the cat.
