About Biches et Bûches: When Astrid decided to create a knitting-kit shop, she set out to find a special yarn for her designs and to offer in her boutique. She was looking for a yarn with an authentic feel, slightly rustic, that would remind her of her trip to Norway in 1995, where she discovered the pure wool from Norwegian sheep. Something that echoed her Scandinavian roots: a yarn that could become fine, colorful sweaters that would stand the test of time, worn year after year. This yarn also needed to feel soft, delightful to knit with, and comfortable for everyday wear. It was in a family-owned mill in Scotland that she found the possibility to create the yarn that would become the signature of Biches & Bûches: Le Petit Lambswool. Today, we offer two additional thicknesses of this yarn: Le Lambswool and Le Gros Lambswool. A pure lambswool, sublime with its rustic charm, while being wonderfully soft and presented in beautifully natural colors. This same love and care has been brought to her Cotton yarn as well.
