Jawoll is a classic yarn with a long reputation as a quality sock yarn. They use Corriedale wool from Chilean Patagonia where the sheep roam free year round. This wool has an average staple length of 4 inches (10cm) which is longer than almost all merino wool. The benefit is reduced pilling and better abrasion resistance, meaning your socks will wear longer and look better. The micron count is 25 making it next to the skin soft.
Each skein comes as 45 grams of sock yarn and a 5 gram spool of their color matched reinforcement yarn tucked inside. Hold the yarn and reinforcing yarn together at heels and toes or wherever your socks tend to wear out. If you need more reinforcing yarn, we have it here.
