We love so much about this yarn! This yarn is delightfully squishy like many millspun yarns are. It feels very soft making it perfect for any garment. Like all non-superwash yarns, it is ideal for stranded knitting. Don't let that limit you to stranded patterns! The plumpness and stitch definition of this yarn will make lovely fabric of any texture. This yarn is plump enough to work well at a sport gauge.
The Corriedale was bred simultaneously in New Zealand and Australia from the 1870s by crossing the Merino with heavier English breeds the Lincoln, English Leicester, and Romney. Cloverleaf Corriedale Stud is focused on contemporary and sustainable land and animal management practices, custodianship and ethical animal participation. The fiber is 100% single source from Cloverleaf and processed into yarn within a 2 hour drive from the farm. All sales are reinvested back into the property and sheep well being. The sheep are kept in family groups and produce top rate prize winning fleeces.
