Refund policy

We have a 90-day return or exchange policy, which means you have 90 days after receiving your item to request an exchange or return. After 90 days we may accept exchanges and returns; please contact us at orders@blacksquirrelberkeley.com or visit us in person for more information.

To be eligible for an exchange or return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. If you are in our receipt system or purchased online, we can look up your order so you won't need a receipt. To start an exchange or return, contact us at orders@blacksquirrelberkeley.com or visit us in person.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Online Purchases
If it is a return, you will be responsible for the return postage and the refund will not include the original postage charge. Refunds will be processed as soon as we receive the returned items.

If we sent the wrong item, we will pay postage for you to return that item. For instance, if we send the wrong color or the wrong weight of yarn, we will send you prepaid postage to return that item and mail the correct item at our expense.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item.  We want to make it right.

Lost Orders
USPS does not consider domestic packages lost until 15 business days have past. All lost packages marked as "delivered", "attempted delivery", or "return to sender" are not be refundable. In some cases we may be able to file an insurance claim that will enable us to reimburse you. Notify us within 30 days of original ship date to open an investigation. 

Refunds
Once we issue a refund you will receive an email notification. You’ll be refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
