The Wandering Flock is a contemporary knitwear design studio and hand-dyed yarn line created by Geraldine Yang, based in Brooklyn, NY. With over a decade’s worth of experience in the fashion industry, Geraldine founded the company in 2019 to serve fashion-conscious knitters and crocheters. In 2023, they launched The Wandering Flock Pattern Collection in collaboration with independent designers.
The Wandering Flock’s palette draws inspiration from the runway and streetwear into cohesive color stories. Above all, Geraldine wants her yarns to be a delight to work with, and to be used to create garments that are playful and timeless.
All of The Wandering Flock’s bases are custom-designed for their dye practice, and milled for them in Peru. Our fibers are traceable, certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100, mulesing free, and made by workers paid a fair wage. Each skein in their core colorway line is dyed in-house in their studio to strict recipe standards, carefully skeined, and packaged—all by hand. They want you to feel good about your yarn in every way.
