A: We made you a handy-dandy map of all the free and paid parking closest to our shop - check it out here. There's also info about public transit on that page. Long story short though, the lot behind the 4th & U apartment building across the train tracks from our shop is free 2-hour parking for businesses on this side of 4th St.

A: YES! The answer to this question should always be an enthusiastic YES! We welcome people of all ages, colors, and creeds into our shop. The only thing we don't tolerate here is intolerance. We are ADA compliant with lots of room to maneuver. We have a kid's corner full of toys for little ones to play with while the adults shop. We're even dog friendly! We hope to see you in the shop as often as possible.

A: Yes! We have a comfy couch and extra chairs, and any time classes aren't in session (we sometimes use our front space for classes so please check our online schedule here, and try to plan a hang-out on weekdays or days with no classes), you're welcome to come and hang out. We ask that you be respectful of our space (please be tidy) and our customers, but you're welcome to bring in food and drink - we can even make you a cup of tea and we have filtered water. You're not obligated to buy anything, nor do you need to be knitting with yarn you purchased from us.


A:  Yes! We are the only shop in the area that doesn't charge for help - we

A:  Online orders are processed and shipped within 3 business days (all days except Sunday, and usually we process them same-day). They are shipped via USPS First Class or Priority, depending on the weight. We also fully insure our packages, so if your order gets lost or damaged don't hesitate to contact us for a replacement or refund.


A:  To get the truest-to-life colors in our photos, we photograph the yarns under a mix of natural and incandescent light, and then painstakingly edit each photo while the yarn is right in front of us. That being said, we edit the photos on a Mac with the brightness turned all the way up, so if you're able to view the yarns on a similar Mac device you will see the truest colors.

A:  Unfortunately the shop site we use doesn't support international transactions. However, you can always send us an email at blacksquirrelfabric@gmail.com and we can send you a PayPal invoice for any items you'd like to purchase!
In the future we will hire someone to build us the perfect shopsite to fit all our needs, but for now this is the best solution we could find on our limited budget.
