Freeform Hand Quilting Class

  • The Black Squirrel 651 Addison Street, Suite B Berkeley, CA, 94710 United States (map)

Let loose and make a free-spirited, free-form quilt based on African/Indian Kawandi quilts. Learn a bit about the history of Kawandi quilts, then start your own. Click here to reserve your spot and get more information.
Hand stitched using perle cotton thread and big free-form stitches, these vibrant scrap quilts are fun and easy to make. No rulers, no rotary cutters, no stress. Cut or tear strips of fabric and stitch them to batting or a cotton backing. Grab the next piece of fabric and stitch. Good for all levels, no sewing experience required. They're a great way to use up keepsake fabrics by turning them into something useful and beautiful!
