The pattern was inspired by a family trip to Fire Island when Kacey was young. While sitting on the dunes, they spotted two copper foxes in the distance watching them. They watched as the foxes playfully bounced towards the horizon. This Van Dyke lace pattern reminded her of those little copper foxes staring back at them.
